Technology audit
Independent technology audit of systems, workflows, data and infrastructure.
A technology audit establishes what is happening, where the risks and bottlenecks are, and which changes deserve attention. It begins with evidence and business context.
What is a technology audit?
An audit is a scoped assessment of the current state. It connects technical findings to the way your business operates, so recommendations address the cause of a problem rather than its most visible symptom.
People and workflow
I examine how work moves, where decisions are made and where handoffs introduce delays or repeated effort. A software issue may originate in the workflow around it.
Infrastructure, software and data
The scope can cover hardware, networks, applications, integrations, data quality, access and operational dependencies. Evidence may include documentation, interviews, system inventories and agreed technical checks.
Automation, AI, risk and cost
We assess existing automations, the quality of their inputs and their failure paths. Costs, ownership, recovery, contractual constraints and security concerns are considered alongside potential efficiency gains.
What you receive
Depending on the agreed scope: a current-state assessment, a dependency map, documented findings, risks and priorities. Recommendations distinguish evidence, assumptions and open questions.
Remote audit
Discovery, evidence collection and review can be carried out remotely. On-site observation can be included where physical infrastructure or operational context makes it useful.
Does an audit require replacing systems?
No. Improving a workflow, removing a redundant step or clarifying ownership may be more useful than buying new software.
Is this a certification or compliance audit?
This is an operational and technology assessment. Formal certification, legal opinions and specialist assurance require their own scope and the appropriate specialists.
